Who we are
The Crypto Cauldron (thecryptocauldron.com) is an educational crypto blog and newsletter. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device, referral source). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google may set cookies to do this.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address through our newsletter provider, beehiiv. We use it only to send you our crypto briefing and the resources we promised. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Comments. If you leave a comment, we store the name, email and content you submit, along with your IP address, to prevent spam.
Contact form. If you contact us, we keep the information you send in order to reply.
Affiliate links. Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner (for example Koinly, or affiliate networks such as Impact) may set a cookie to attribute a possible purchase to us. See our Disclosure for details.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them for analytics and affiliate attribution. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may behave differently.
Third parties we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We use these service providers, each with their own privacy policies: Google Analytics (analytics), beehiiv (newsletter delivery), and affiliate networks and partners for link attribution.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the EU/UK, or CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page.
Data retention
We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Comments and contact messages are kept as long as needed to run the site. Analytics data follows Google’s retention settings.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above will always reflect the latest version.
